back to school tomorrow... yuck.

back to school tomorrow... yuck. i am not ready for vacation to be over. oh well. at least i got myself a new dress/jacket... it's suppsed to be a shirt-dress but i like it so much better as a long jacket. now i'm working on a knitted head scarf to match it. let's see if i can finish by friday so i can wear it to the party!

got a big envelope with graduation stuff in it today. it seems like only yesterday i was in high school and now i'm graduating from college?? wow. it's so incredibly expensive though... cap and gown, announcements, diploma frame, photos... i think i'll be scooting by with the bare minuimun. ;-) gotta save for my summer vacation trip!

i hate watching the oscar

i hate watching the oscar montage of all the people who have passed away in the last year. it's already a bummer to know that alec guiness or jason robards or walter matthau will naver make another movie... this is like a painful reminder.

i love lazy sundays! as if sleeping in until after 12 wasn't nice enough, i'm trying out a new recipie for dinner tonight - harvest apple chicken and rice. mmmm. should be done soon, and if it's good, maybe i'll post the recipie.

this is the most beautiful song i've heard in a long, long time. it's one of those ones that just makes your heart ache... i love the combination of the piano, violins and david gray's lovely voice. you really should listen to it, because lord knows i can't accurately describe a piece of music to save my life... but then again i'm of the school of thought that music can't really be described in words, it has to be heard to be truly appreciated and understood. so listen to this one... i promise you won't be dissapointed.

well, last night was a

well, last night was a blast! autumn and samara came over and we had a girls' night... a yummy dinner, horoscopes and fortunes, madonna and movies. it's ben a long time since i've done that. ;-)
tonight? well, since i was half asleep at work today (and still am right now), i think i'll just stay right here, scan some photos, work on my booty mix and get to bed early. mmm. bed. ;-)

all of a sudden the day is over and i didn't get nearly as much done today as i wanted to. well, i did go to the bookstore and get some new books...

i also came across a blog of someone i was talking to for a little bit last year, which is funny because i didn't know he had a blog. you can learn a lot about someone from a blog. i dunno, i guess that's why i like them. ;-)
