We totally posed this shot while hiking on Angel Island in the SF bay. everyone else that day had brought bikes, but a few of us decided to walk. BAD IDEA. i was so sore and sunburned by the time we had walked all the way around the top of the islnd... 5 miles!
This shot didn't look blurry until i got it home and saw in on my monitor - but even blurry i think it's ok... it has a bit of an ethereal quality (i don't think that's the exact word i'm looking for, but close enough).

another shot from my visit to grace cathedral in SF. There are a lot of really fantastic stained glass windows there, but nearly all the detailed ones were too high up to get a really good look at. this was th only one close enough to the ground to get a decent shot of, and i remember being dissapointed that it wasn't detailed like the rest of them. But in hindsight, i think i like this better bcause it's simple.

One of my favorite photos, and also one of my favorite old comments. THe first time i posted this photo i put it up with a quote from the footprints poem... "My precious, precious child, I love you, and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
so i got this awesome comment from FRANCIS X. GRIFFIN... I think that's a Family Guy reference. LOL!

I know that this isn't the best photo, but i think considering where i took it from (the window of a plane) and the fact that there are no obstructions (like airplane wings) that it's pretty cool. and i like it, so i guess that's what really matters.
orientation: I was on the left side of the plane going east, and and downtown boston is at the top of the photo, under the clouds.

Our Lady

I took my first roll of film with my new (to me, at least) Minolta XG-A this weekend! Out of the roll of 24, 14 came out, which, considering the fact that i had no clue what i was doing, is pretty good! It was on overcast day, so i wasn't too happy with this one until i desaturated it, and now i think it's rather striking.
I'm excited to be venturing back into the world of film. After i learn how to use the minolta, maybe i'll get a holga! whee!
