another shot from my visit to grace cathedral in SF. There are a lot of really fantastic stained glass windows there, but nearly all the detailed ones were too high up to get a really good look at. this was th only one close enough to the ground to get a decent shot of, and i remember being dissapointed that it wasn't detailed like the rest of them. But in hindsight, i think i like this better bcause it's simple.

Taking photos in Grace cathedral was really cool... it was very quiet and serene, plus we could pretty much wander wherever we wanted. i found the coolest stuff (like these candles) back in the darkest corners.

We walked a really long way from the New York Casino to see the amazing ceiling at the Bellagio. All the people cheking out of the hotel were jsut standing under it like it was nothing, but i was jsut standing there looking up... and probably looking like an idiot. but it really is quite beautiful.

Everything in vegas is so busy, so i was really feeling very overwhelmed - total sensory overload! but when we walked through the bellagio, i found this little spot of floor where there were just little bug and butterflies every two feet. it felt very nice, and much more calm. although how i was able to get this shot without someone walking right over it is a bit amazing!

I love taking photos at the aquarium. This particular trip (my first with the casio) was fun, but getting used to the new camera was a little diffucult. It definetly behaved much different than the sony, which i think i prefer for aquqrium shots. but a few i took this day turned out good, and this was one of them.

Took this while waiting for the T in Boston. I had spent the day hanging out with a friend, and when we parted ways, i still had some time to kill, so i went to the mall. aaah, the mall. By the time i got back down to the T i was exhausted, but it was empty and i couldn't resist snapping this photo. ;-)

also, i'm going to start putting the exposure info for my photos up. i don't understand it very much yet, and i certainly can't control it on my point-and-shoot, but in the future i might want to know and it's better to do it piece by piece now instead of having to go back later and re-edit a bunch of entries.

It's a relatively new family tradition to go to the boardwalk and eat corndogs on easter, and we didn't let the lousy weather stop us! I'm not quite brave enough to take photos of strangers and weirdos (of which there are plenty at the boardwalk) so i focused on signs and fences. this was definetly the best shot of the day. I went into photoshop and fuzzed things up a bit and increased the saturation and i definetly prefer this version. having the sky look blue with clouds instead of icky and grey was a happy accident.

Normally when I import my photos onto the computer i tweak them in photoshop just to make the colors a little more vibrant. But with this shot, i was lucky... It just came out like this. Plus, this was taken through the closed window of a moving car, and i'm always really excited when those come out nice!
