100 Things (revised!)

1. i am 26 years old.
2. i live in santa cruz.
3. i've also lived in campbell, san jose and irvine, all in california.
4. i love cats.
5. i wish i had one.
6. so i'm planning on adopting a kitten later this year.
7. but i do have a frog, named karen.
8. i can be classified as several different kinds of geek.
9. i'm a music geek.
10. my cd collection numbers well over 200, ranging from jam bands to pop to rock to jazz.
11. my iPod has almost 8000 songs which is almost 1400 albums, so that means i have almost 22 DAYS woth of music on it.
12. the iPod is only a little past half full.
13. i love that iPod more than i should love a piece of electronics.
14. my life has a soundtrack. literally, i connect specific events in my life to specific songs.
15. i make great mix tapes/cd's, with lyrics and pretty covers.
16. i'm a computer geek.
17. i taught myself html.
18. i used to code this site by hand, but now i am lazy and just modify tempaltes to suit my needs. ha.
19. I am no longer afraid to open up a computer and muck around inside it.
20. I am a theater geek.
21. in march, 2002 I got a bachelors degree in theater.
22. I've worked on over 40 shows (acting, crew, etc.)
23. I hope to teach theater in high school someday.
24. for now I volunteer with a youth group/choir, specializing in, yes, you guessed it, drama.
25. I love it enough to commute over 'the hill' every week for six months.
26. I was a member of the same youth group for three years.
27. it's funny, but when I was in the youth group, I was singing diva, not a drama diva.
28. actually, I was a music major for about two quarters my first year of college.
29. that was at uc irvine, if you're keeping track.
30. I hated uc irvine.
31. I loved the city of Irvine and orange county in general, great beaches, great food, great shopping, and disneyland.
32. So it goes without saying that i LOVE The O.C.
33. Seth is my favorite character. i hope he gets back together with Summer.
34. I also love Disneyland.
35. my favorite Disney movie is the little mermaid.
36. and almost all things Disney, actually (except pocohontas, which sucked frozen hose water).
37. i have a little mermaid collection of over 200 items.
38. i am klutz.
39. i've broken several bones, and had more sprains than i can count.
40. that said, i'm not really the sporty type.
41. although if i had to pick a sport, i'd say baseball.
42. i like to travel, but i haven't been to very many places.
43. i've seen quite a bit of nevada, oregon, and washington, and a little bit of arizona, which was beatiful!
44. i've visited toronto, the bahamas, ann arbor michigan, orlando florida, philadelphia and boston.
45. i've spent a few hours in worchester massachusets and new york city.
46. i've driven through new jersey, and conneticut.
47. cincinatti, dallas/ft. worth, salt lake city, and st. louis get half points - i've been in all their airports.
48. of all those places, i'd most like to return to new york city and philly, so i can spend some time seeing the sights and doing touristy things.
49. someday i'd like to visit new orleans, key west, hawaii, italy, ireland, england, spain, france, amsterdam, austria, israel and australia.
50. my favorite tv show ever was the x-files, which i still miss a lot.
51. i own the first six seasons on dvd.
52. i plan on owning all the seasons on dvd once i get some more $$.
53. i also watch Law & Order (all 3), Scrubs, SNL, American Idol, Point Pleasant, Cold Case, and Numb3rs.
54. i also love going to see live music!
55. i've been to lots of concerts since 1997 (i've lost count).
56. the furthest i ever traveled to a concert was 3000 miles (+/- 5 miles or so) from santa cruz ca, to nyc for the disco biscuits at roseland.
57. i've seen the disco biscuits 6 times, but i've seen phish 13 times.
58. i'm obsessed with phish, and was traumatixed when they broke up.
59. i have over 200 hours of live phish on cd.
60. i met trey, jon and mike at my first show (couldn't find page, though).
61. page, the keyboardist, is my favorite.
62. i took piano lessons for 5 years.
63. i can't play the piano worth a damn.
64. i think that's probably because i have an exceptional 'ear', and i'd pick stuff out rather than learning to read music.
65. not ever wanting to practice probably had something to do with it too.
66. i've always wanted to play guitar, but thought my hands were too small.
67. i thought this until i got my baby taylor.
68. i can stuble my way through several songs now, but i shold practice more.
69. i am a very picky eater.
70. for example, i hate anthing with tomatos, avocados, banannas, or peanut butter, and i don't like most vegetables.
71. however, i love onions, mushrooms, carrots, corn and broccoli.
72. but my favorite foods are starchy - pasta, bread, potatos, chips, crackers, bagels, etc.
73. i don't eat red meat.
74. i stopped eating it in march 1999, just to see if i could do it.
75. i stuck with it, although every once in a while i really miss steak.
76. i didn't drink alcohol until i was 23, avoiding that reckless college drinking phase.
77. i only drink a few times a year on special occasions.
78. but i dont' smoke or do drugs, ever.
79. yes, that means i've never smoked pot, either. no, i don't want to try it, but thanks.
80. i can knit AND crochet.
81. the coolest thing i've ever made was a pair of mittens on a string. they are part of a set i made for myself - hat mittens and scarf made out of beautiful purple yarn.
82. I work on too many projects at a time.
83. right now i'm working on two blankets and three scarves.
84. i love sleeping.
85. unfortunately, i'm an insomniac, so i don't do a lot of it.
86. insomniac or not, i cannot function on less than 5 hours of sleep.
87. this was tough when i was in college, because i procrastinate, and it's damn hard to go to work, go to class, write 10 page papers and get five hours of sleep in 24 hours.
88. good thing i'm out of college, huh?

90. i'm very flexible.
91. i can sing harmony to anything. and i mean anything.
92. i am working very hard on de-cluttering my life.
93. i've been getting migraines since i was 12.
94. i have terrible eyesight.
95. i drink diet coke every day.
96. i have a screw in my right ankle.
97. my favorite classical composer is tied between mozart and rachmaninov.
98. i own all three *nsync albums. i really only like the last 2.
99. i've never been able to do a cartwheel, AND
100. i've never been skiing in my life, and i never plan to, either.
